Tube Material Selection: Stainless steel is the mainstream material, with 304 suitable for conventional liquid and air heating, offering excellent overall performance at a reasonable cost. 316, containing molybdenum, resists mild acid and alkaline corrosion and is suitable for chemical environments. For high-temperature applications (e.g., above 500°C), 321 or 310S are recommended, as they incorporate titanium for enhanced stability.

Resistance Wire Material: Iron-chromium-aluminum alloys offer a temperature resistance of up to 1200°C, are low-cost, and suitable for static heating. Nickel-chromium alloys offer greater flexibility and are suitable for use in vibrating environments, but are more expensive. New carbon fiber materials offer a conversion efficiency exceeding 95%, significantly reducing energy consumption and providing a long lifespan, representing a cutting-edge technology.

Supplementary Materials: Magnesium oxide powder serves as an insulating and thermally conductive filler, with either low-temperature or high-temperature powder selected according to the temperature rating. Sealing materials must ensure a tight seal to prevent moisture intrusion.

In practice, custom combinations are needed based on the operating environment (e.g., liquid pH, temperature range). For example, for heating water, 304 stainless steel pipes with iron-chromium resistance wire may be used, while for corrosive liquids, 316 stainless steel with nickel-chromium wire may be used. Scientific material selection balances cost and performance, extending the service life of equipment.
