An electric heating element (also known as a tubular electric heater element) uses a metal tube as its outer shell. It generates heat through a coiled heating wire, which is then electrically conductive and insulated using magnesium oxide powder. Its core structure consists of a metal tube, a resistance wire, and a filler material. Heating is achieved by converting electrical energy into thermal energy.

Core Structure and Operating Principle

The electric heating element consists of a stainless steel or copper tube as its outer shell, with a spiraled resistance wire wound inside. The gaps are filled with crystalline magnesium oxide powder for thermal conductivity and insulation. When current is applied, the resistance wire heats up, which is then evenly transferred to the metal tube surface through the magnesium oxide powder and radiated to the heated medium.

Main Applications

It is widely used in industrial equipment heating, including saltpeter tanks, oil tanks, acid and alkali tanks, melting furnaces, and drying equipment. It is suitable for heating air, oil, water, chemical media, and molten metal.
